The Estate

Rignano sull'Arno · Tuscany

Poggio 3 Lune

Whose origins trace to the 15th century, extends across 47 hectares in Rignano sull'Arno, just south of Florence. Tempus Fugit comes from a quieter Tuscany: historic, restrained, and untouched by spectacle.

A short distance from Florence — the city of the Medici, Machiavelli, Leonardo, and Michelangelo — Tempus Fugit was born in the shadow of a culture shaped by beauty, intellect, and time. The neighboring estate was Guglielmo Marconi's summer residence, and he often visited Poggio 3 Lune.

Tempus Fugit is one hectare within the 47-hectare estate: fifty-year-old vines, farmed organically and biodynamically, yielding only about 1,500 bottles a year.

Its rarity is not designed. It is the natural result of age, place, and restraint.

We intervene as little as possible. Hand-harvested in small passes, fermented with native yeasts, and aged in large Slavonian oak casks, the wine is guided with patience rather than force.

We believe the highest skill is restraint.
